Mr. Incredible

No...I am not talking about this guy:

I am talking about this guy:

If you know him at all, you know exactly what I'm talking about. There isn't a person on the planet that can meet Mark and feel like he is just an "average guy" there is nothing "average" about him. He is amazing, smart, funny (SO funny), witty, romantic, passionate, smart, funny, compassionate, and funny all rolled into a 6 ft. 2 inch BEAUTIFUL human being. Have I mentioned he's funny? He is. Hilarious actually, he truly makes me laugh every single day, multiple times. I know people say that about people they know, to make a point that the person they are talking about is really funny, but I'm serious when I say that he makes me laugh EVERY.SINGLE.DAY! Oh, and have I mentioned he's smart? Well he is. SERIOUSLY smart. I can prove it! Last Tuesday he found out that he PASSED the Audit exam for the CPA. PASSED it. Nailed it. CONQUERED it. Totally checked it off the on your way to becoming a CPA list. Audit exam? CHECK! Yes, there are 3 more to go, and yes, the financial one is next and is sure to be a doozy, but HE DID IT once and he's going to do it again I TELL YOU WHAT! WAHOO! I am so proud of him. He works SO HARD for us and he NEVER complains. We are so blessed to have this man in our lives. I love this picture of him. If you look close you can see his sparkly lips, thanks to my sparkly pina colada lip gloss from Bath and Body Works. I wonder how that got there! Okay, that's enough, now stop looking at my husbands lips.

WAY TO GO Daddy! We love you and are SOOOOOO proud of you! Thank you for being so wonderful. Oh, and thank you for letting me use your razor this morning in the shower...except that you didn't actually know that I used it, so you might want to change the blade now...fyi...and maybe a little bit too late.

ps. um...yeah. I'm a titch late posting this....okay, a lot late. He did pass it almost a week ago after all... and my cousin may or may not have posted about it already, which we all know means she did, which is pretty pathetic of me don't you think? Thank you Kandis for your support, only you (and the other few that have actually gone through taking the CPA exam) know what he's really going through and your support means so much to both of us!

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Today our best friend, husband and daddy turned 34! We are so thankful to have him in our lives! He had to work today which stinks but we celebrated when he got home with a yummy dinner, chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and 34 melting candles (I had to change the batteries in my camera at the last minute – which didn’t help the melting candles much), and mint chocolate chip ice cream, some of his favorite things. We bought him a new watch - which he really needed - and the big boys made him a card and Sam gave him a dollar from his bank, they also got him “Rockband” for the Wii. I say got “him” but they pretty much used the excuse of his birthday to beg for Rockband for us - and I couldn’t help it…I caved. We’ve had lots of fun lately with Guitar Hero so we thought this would be a fun way for the whole family to join in on the fun. The boys just loved singing Happy Birthday and eating Daddy’s yummy cake. Will ESPECIALLY loved eating the chocolate cake and was BEGGING for more more more! He was covered in chocolate - it was so cute. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and father, we thank our Heavenly Father for him every single day. Happy Happy Birthday Sweetheart!! We LOVE you!!

My cute hubby...

So I asked Mark to pick up some grapes and some chips from the store to go along with the Sloppy Jo's I was making for dinner last night. When he got home he made a big deal about some items in one of the sacks. He said "I bought something today for someone in our family that kind of gets forgotten about" (I knew he wasn't meaning me or the kids because he brings us home treats ALL the time) so my immediate guess was Toby the cat. I had no sooner said his name when Mark pulled out some cans of moist cat food and a catnip toy just for our furry little family member. I thought this was so sweet. Cuter still was when I went to put something in his wallet later that night and found his little post-it shopping list inside. It read:

Chips
Grapes
Bananas
Oranges
Cat food and toy

How funny that it wasn't even a last minute decision, but was carefully planned out. Toby REALLY appreciated it. So much so in fact that we had to take the catnip toy away after about 30 seconds. He was going CRAZY with it. I don't think he's ever had a "drugged-up" toy before. Poor kitty.

Flowers in a BOX!

We went to Wheeler Farm and took family pictures with the Miller family on Friday afternoon and Mark had a few errands to run afterward so I took the boys home and was thrilled to see a BOX of flowers on my front porch!! I've never had flowers from a BOX before, it was a lot of fun trying to guess who they could be from while I got the boys situated inside. Of course I had my suspicions that it would be my sweet husband, but I couldn't think of anything I could have done to deserve them - so my mind kept racing at who else it could be. They WERE from Mark with an incredibly sweet card attached and they are BEAUTIFUL! It was so much fun snipping off the ends, filling the vase with water, adding the plant food and arranging them myself! The sad part about this story is that my house was a WRECK! I felt really guilty when Mark got home...."Hey sweetie! Thanks for the flowers, welcome to TORNADOVILLE!" I have since cleaned up thank goodness...the boys are off-track right now and we don't have our "system" down quite yet. We'll probably get the hang of things right about the time they go back. :)
