Fishy...

There's something fishy going on around here....

Lately, whenever I put a freshly washed load of laundry on the couch by the time I turn around (practically) it is all FOLDED and ready for me to put away!!

A few days ago, my boys had banana splits for lunch and donuts for dinner!...NO, I didn't mean to say dessert.

I had my mom's famous lasagna (TOTALLY one of my comfort foods) for dinner last night and lunch today and I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO MAKE IT!...

All of the holes in our clothes and socks have been mended and Joshua's Wolf badge mysteriously appeared on his scout shirt!

The boys no longer have to do their chores alone... someone has been doing...er, HELPING them almost every day!...

Wait a minute! I think I've got it! GRANDMA must be in town!!!!!!

Yep...she is...and we're all getting a little spoiled!

Things to remember - Joshua edition

Dear Joshua,

Remember awhile ago, when daddy gave you, Sam and Gabe a banana and there were only 3 left and one had bruises all over it? Remember daddy asking if anyone was willing to take the banana with the bruises on it and you spoke up and said "I will, Dad"

That was such a beautiful example of Sacrifice.

Remember before school got out for the summer, we were working on a project and you said something about it not being "symmetrical" and I (thinking you really didn't know what that word meant) asked you why it wasn't symmetrical and you said "Because in order for it to be symmetrical it needs to be congruent on both sides".

That was so brilliant

Remember about 6 months ago, when our Sacrament program had a picture of our new First Presidency on the cover, how when we woke up on Monday the picture had been cut out and placed on the fridge? When I asked who put it there you said "I did, I thought we should have that picture on our fridge so we could always remember them".

That was so touching.

Remember just last week when I was getting after you for tattling on your brother for the fifth time that morning and after I was done you waited for a good minute or two and then said in a total non-chalant and sing-song-ish voice "SOooo, how was your Young Women's meeting last night?" just to change the subject?

That was really funny.

And remember, the other day when we were all just hanging out around the house, I was in the kitchen and you and Sam were in the front room and you said "Sam, where's Will? Will you go see if he's in mom's room?" ...he was actually taking a nap and I hadn't even asked you to help watch him that day.

That was so sweet.

These are things I will remember forever. Along with the countless showings of affection you give to me, dad and your little brothers. We are so lucky to be a part of your amazing little 9 year old life. Please don't ever change.

Love, Mommy
